Mallo 1.2.30
Mallo 1.2.30 adds optional ChatGPT-powered transcript correction and makes each correction stage easier to recognize.
Mallo 1.2.30 adds an optional final correction step powered by your ChatGPT account. It can clean up an English or Korean transcript before insertion while keeping the original meaning and important details intact.
Release Highlights
- Sign in with ChatGPT from Settings. There is no separate API key field to configure.
- Choose when AI correction runs. The option is off by default and only runs after you enable it.
- Keep the details that matter. Mallo asks ChatGPT to preserve names, numbers, commands, URLs, and code terms while applying your selected cleanup rules.
- See when correction is happening. A purple moving waveform distinguishes AI correction from recording and transcription.
What Changed In Real Use
Mallo still recognizes your speech before correction. When AI correction is enabled, it sends the recognized transcript text—not your microphone audio—to your connected ChatGPT account, then inserts the corrected result.
Settings now separates local Text Cleanup rules from AI Correction. This makes it clear which changes happen on your Mac and which use ChatGPT. The correction step also has its own visual state, so a slightly longer dictation never looks frozen.
Why This Patch Matters
Speech recognition can capture every word and still leave awkward punctuation, spacing, or phrasing behind. The optional correction step handles that final polish while staying visible and under your control.
