The tray got simpler while model coverage expanded
We simplified the tray menu and broadened speech model coverage so everyday dictation feels more direct.
We took the tray back toward utility. The result is a simpler menu for daily use, paired with broader support for the models that matter.
A More Focused Tray
The tray should help you start, stop, and manage dictation quickly. It should not feel like a second app trying to compete with the main window.
This pass removes some of that extra weight and keeps the tray pointed at the fastest actions.
Better Model Reach
At the same time, Mallo expanded support around speech model selection so the app can better reflect the growing model lineup.
That groundwork matters because the app is no longer only about a single model family.
Why These Changes Pair Well
As model choice gets broader, the supporting UI has to get simpler. That balance keeps Mallo flexible without making it cluttered.
