Mallo 1.2.27
Mallo 1.2.27 keeps dictation in the app you are using after a quick app switch instead of jumping back to the previous app.
Mallo 1.2.27 keeps dictation in the app and text field you are actually using. It fixes an issue where starting dictation soon after switching apps could bring the previous app back to the front when the result was ready.
Release Highlights
- Results stay with your current text field. Mallo checks the active editable field again before inserting your dictation.
- No unexpected jump to the previous app. Finishing a recording no longer pulls an older app back to the front during a quick switch.
- Fewer seemingly missing transcripts. Your words are less likely to be sent to a field hidden in the app you just left.
What Changed In Real Use
Previously, you could move from Chrome to ChatGPT, start typing, and immediately begin dictating. Mallo could still remember Chrome as the destination. When processing finished, Chrome briefly returned and the transcript appeared there—or seemed to disappear entirely.
This release follows the text field that is focused when the result is ready. If you switch apps quickly, Mallo keeps the current app in front and sends the transcript where you are working.
Why This Patch Matters
Moving between apps should not make dictation unpredictable. You can switch, place the cursor, speak, and trust that the result will stay with the task in front of you.
