The dictation HUD now appears more reliably in the packaged app
Mallo now does a better job of showing the dictation HUD in the packaged macOS app, including over fullscreen apps.
The dictation HUD now shows up more reliably in the packaged Mallo app, including the kind of fullscreen workspace where an overlay can feel easy to lose.
More Reliable In The Packaged App
Some users could see the HUD in development but lose it in the packaged app. That made dictation feel less trustworthy right at the moment when the HUD should confirm that Mallo is listening.
This update makes the packaged app behave more consistently, so the HUD is less likely to disappear when you expect immediate feedback.
Better Over Fullscreen Apps
Fullscreen use is one of the places where HUD behavior matters most. If the overlay does not appear cleanly, dictation feels uncertain even when the shortcut fired.
Mallo now does a better job of keeping the HUD visible over fullscreen apps, which makes the start of dictation feel steadier.
A Slightly Slimmer HUD
We also tightened the HUD height a bit so the listening and processing states feel less bulky on screen.
This is a small visual change, but it helps the HUD feel lighter while keeping the same quick feedback.
